Cloth
Privacy Policy
Effective February 20, 2026
Overview
Cloth is a macOS utility that locks your keyboard and trackpad and dims your screen so you can safely clean your computer. It is designed to work entirely on your device with no data collection of any kind.
Data collection
Cloth does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app operates fully offline and does not communicate with any servers, including ours.
No analytics, no crash reports, no usage telemetry, and no advertising identifiers are collected.
Network access
Cloth does not require or use a network connection. It makes zero outbound requests. All functionality runs locally on your Mac.
Accessibility permissions
Cloth requires macOS Accessibility permissions to disable keyboard and trackpad input while cleaning mode is active. This permission is used solely for input control and is never used to monitor, record, or transmit any information about your activity.
Third-party services
Cloth does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms.
Children's privacy
Cloth does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal information is collected, no special provisions are required under COPPA or similar regulations.
Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Because Cloth collects no data, meaningful changes to this policy are unlikely.
